The family-run winery Steininger is situated in Langenlois in the Kamptal Valley. Lower Austria is well-known for the Grüner Veltliner and this is also the strength of the winery. Grüner Veltliner represents about 80% of their production. It can be found in different styles, from light summer wine to powerful and voluminous full-bodied wines as well as dessert wines. The estate is also becoming well-known for their sparking wines, all made in the traditional method, where meticulous work is put into the base wine and secondary fermentation.

The Pato family is one of the most important winemaking families in all of Portugal. Complex, yet utterly gluggable. Try and get through this bottle without violently craving a salty, cheesy snack… we dare you! Gaspare La Vela and his wife Monica make wine in western Sicily. La Vela, or “The Sail” in Italian combined with the couples’ love for the sea led them to name their wines after aspects of sailing and the water. “Gassa d’Amante” refers to the unbreakable bowline knot used in sailing that represents the powerful bond between two lovers. The laters and depth of this Vidal are a subtle reflection of the natural technique in the cellar. But let’s not take ourselves too seriously here…the owl just won’t have it.

750mL | 13.5% | 100% Moscatel de Alejandría Don't let the "Moscatel" portion of this grape name fool you, this is one dry and crisp beauty! The nose is beautifully herbal, with prominent aromas of orange blossom, citrus zest, and nettles. The flavor is evocative of a Grüner, with lots of white pepper, cut grass and orange zest on the palate. While Málaga is traditionally known for producing sweet wines, the Sierras de Málaga DO was created specifically for dry wines. The Moscatel de Alejandría grapes used to make Mountain Blanco come from two steep sites with slate soil. Fun fact, olive oil presses are used to press the grapes after manual harvesting!

Prominent acidity with great depth of flavor and a long, savory finish. Delinquente makes small batch, low-intervention wines in Riverland, Australia. Riverland is known for its warm Mediterranean climate, where temperatures during the growing season can become quite hot. Leaning into the warm, dry climate, Delinquente works with Southern Italian varieties like Vermentino, Nero d’Avola, and Aglianico, which are suited to a similar climate and able to withstand drought while maintaining natural levels of acidity.

The palate is round and ripe, with notes of acacia honey and honeysuckle with verdant flavors of fennel and lemongrass to follow. 90% of the juice is fermented in stainless steel, with just 10% seeing used French oak and 6 months on fine less. The blended result? A richer body and texture with subtly-perceptible oak flavors. A family domaine, owned by the father-and-son team of Robert and Damien Martin, Domaine Damien Martin owns approximately 20 hectares in the heart of the Mâconnais with Chardonnay vineyards in Verzé. Son Damien now manages all aspects of the viticulture and winemaking with a deep love and respect for the traditions of the Mâconnais.

750mL | 13% | 100% Pinot Blanc If you enjoy wine with a bit of sweetness, this is absolutely the one for you! The nose is intensely aromatic with notes of of ripe guava, white flowers and honey. The Pinot Blanc grapes are harvested late and have a touch of Botrytis, creating an off-dry wine with soft acidity to balance things out. Notes of ripe apricot, Banana Runts candy, and star fruit greet the palate with immensely enjoyable sweetness with an enduring finish. The Rolly Gassmann estate is situated north of Colmar in Alsace. The family has been making wine since 1676, where today winemaker Pierre Gassmann farms biodynamically. Using techniques such as late-harvest and lengthy cellaring post-bottling has ensured Gassmann remains a prominent name in Alsatian off-dry winemaking.

Domaine Rolet was founded in 1942 and over time, the winery gradually grew, acquiring premium vineyard space across the Jura. At 65 hectares of estate vineyards, they are the largest family-owned winery in the Jura. A group of winemakers purchased the Rolex estate in 2018 and have continued to honor the winemaking style that the Rolet family initiated.

The nose is vivid and unmistakable, with tons of Chamomile, green pear, and flint. The palate is rich and textured, displaying a full body with notes of ripe nectarine, green guava, and significant flavors of crushed gravel and salinity. Villa Dora’s organically farmed vineyards are located on the southern slopes of Mount Vesuvius, just east of Naples. The soil is made from ground up pumice that gives grapes a striking and distinctive flavor.

750mL | 11% | 100% Bical A delightfully elegant representation of Bairrada! Aromas of crushed limestone, honeysuckle, honey, and pear. The palate is rich and textured without feeling too weighty or intense. Developed flavors of toasted almond, peach blossom, and a hint of smoke. Mineral-driven with refreshing acidity and a lingering, slightly savory finish. Has the potential to age for 15 or more years! “Tola” refers to the vineyard where the Bical is grown. The vineyard lies mid-slope with great southern exposure, meaning successful ripening year after year. Some of the vines are more than 60 years old and is named to honor an eccentric lady who initially owned the vineyard in the early 19th century.

The palate displays notes of underripe apricot with Grüner’s signature white pepper coming through nicely on the mid-palate. A flinty touch of mineral on the enduring finish, which outlasts zippy acidity. The Lagler family estate dates back to 1789, though it wasn’t until the 1970s that the family began making wine from their grapes, rather than selling them off. Today, the family owns some of the finest vineyard sites in Spitz, a town in western Wachau, and all vineyard work is done meticulously by hand for highest quality results.

Enjoy with cheese ASAP! This wine comes from a collaborative effort between biodynamic viticulturist Antonio Sousa and importer Savio Soares. While practicing biodynamic techniques in the field, Sousa's cellar work remained more conventional. Hoppenot, a veteran of the wine industry, decided to launch his own wines in 2018, to nearly immediate success. His domaine is made up of two very different slopes, one which is characteristic of Fleurie with poor granite and quartz soils, while the other is granite and sand, allowing vines to develop deeper into the soil. All grapes are hand-harvested and farmed organically.

By 1999, Elisabeth Foradori was being referred to as the “undisputed top producer of Teroldego.” With this version, however, made for Lezer, a new project of Foradori’s sons Emilio and Theo Zierock, Emilio, who is now head winemaker, has taken the grape in quite another direction. Lezer is the product of around twenty different experiments from the home vineyards, of which three quarters went into the final blend. Some went into amphorae (large clay pots), some into oak, some into steel, some into cement, some with the floating cap method and others with direct press. The result is this juicy creation that is pure, zesty, light, unpretentious but with a degree of seriousness.

Antonio Lopes Ribeiro and company make wine all over Portugal, but this particular cuvee comes from red and white grapes grown on stony schist slopes in upper Duoro, right next to the Atlantic. Vines grow amongst the rock roses, thyme, and rosemary, and the wines all have a way of tasting like salty sea air in the best way.

A secondary fermentation reaction is triggered, adding body, structure, and color to the Valpolicella Classico, thus producing Ripasso. This wine goes on to be aged in various vessels for 12 months before bottling.
